“Generator 7/8” by Moskwa TV is being released for the first time as a Multicoloured SPLATTER Vinyl – in a strictly limited collector’s edition!
Originally released in 1985, this club hit is regarded as a pioneering track within the European electro and EBM scene, shaping an entire generation with its driving sequences, powerful vocals, and futuristic style.
This exclusive reissue features several mixes of the classic track – including rare and extended versions that give Generator 7/8 a fresh sonic appearance.

MOSKWA TV was Andreas Tomalla’s second project (after TWO OF CHINA). He became world famous under the name TALLA 2XLS as one of the founders of Franfurt’s Techno-Scene – especially in his position as resident DJ at TECHNO CLUB (at Dorian Gray Club Frankfurt Airport), as founder of labels Zoth Ommog, Technodrome International, New Zone and many others. Today Talla 2XLCs is one of the worlds most famous DJs, constantly touring around the planet almost non stop.
MOSKWA TV was a real cult act, with temporarily strong influence on Techno in the 2nd half of the 80's, 2 times quotation in the US Billboard Charts, publications throughout Europe and partially beyond, also on compilations, 3 LPs and numerous singles.

Originally intended as an entirely instrumental project, its totally 4 initiators - in light of their success in the beginning and in order to reach a bigger audience - started looking for a characteristic voice in spring '85, the collaboration with Ion Javelin began. Shortly after their joined venture they landed a permanent European Independent Hit: "Generator 7/8". Its lyrics dealt with the MCA (Maximum Credible Accident) at a nuclear power station/plant. Not even 3/4 of a year after its publication this Techno-Pop-Classic achieved sad actuality through Chernobyl.
