Beautiful", Hide & Seek returnS with a new album: following on
from the previous ones, "A Spring Idyl" combines coldwave and pop, this
time with more electronic sounds. The voices, female and male, share texts that explore the beauty and melancholy of human relationships. The duo is supported by a flautist who subtly colors the cold sounds of the guitars and synthesizers. Through its title and two songs, the album also pays tribute to Elizabeth Magie, born in 1866, unique in her progressive spirit, her inventiveness and her Sensitivity Hide & Seek was formed in 1993 by Pierre-Yves Lebeau, a French musician, and Liesbeth Houdijk, a Dutch singer. They self released 3 albums between 1994 and 1999. Exactly 20 Years ago they signed to Cynfeirdd, on which they released a further 3 albums (2003-2011). The duo became quatuor for live performances, including a drummer/percussionist, Olivier Vitry, and a bassist/flutist, Eric Milhiet, known as member of O Quam Tristis and Opera Multi Steel. |
