| Info: | ADD NOTHING is the solo-driven
project of Tobias Andersson – born in the
more-than-half-forgotten town of Hedemora, in the heart of Sweden. With roots deeply planted in the intense DIY ethos of the punk and hardcore scene, Tobias was shaped early on by music’s raw, unfiltered expression. But it was the discovery of acts like Nine Inch Nails and The Prodigy that shattered boundaries and opened the door to a more grandiose, experimental world of electronic sound. The result is an uncompromising sonic landscape where brutal honesty collides with electronic precision – where gritty synths, distortion and dark rhythms coexist with sensitivity, introspection and melodic weight. Tobias has previously released a wide range of music and toured internationally under various names and in different constellations. With ADD NOTHING, he now takes the helm alone – boiling everything down into a personal, unrelenting and unapologetically direct sound. This is music for the early hours, for empty dance floors, for the abyss – and for everything in between. - - - - - - - - - ”Everything began when I got back a binder filled with old texts I had written when I was 14–15 years old. My mother had found it during a big cleaning session. Back home, in my childhood home. I knew there was a monster hiding inside that binder. Darkness, loneliness, despair, and sorrow. A monster crying out for attention, validation, and some kind of hope. The monster was me. I composed music to one of the texts. It felt like having a dialogue across time with myself. I’m a different person today. But at the same time, still exactly the same. In a way, it felt like I was reconciling with myself. Confronting the monster. One song became ten. And those ten songs became ’Love songs will slowly kill you’. ADD NOTHING was born.” - Tobias Andersson, 2025 |
