album, originally released in November 2025, got the underground dance
floors moving again, worldwide! Although they initially appear to be one of the typical male-female Darkwave duos that have emerged throughout Europe in recent years, POTOCHKINE are different and more special, delivering an Electro sound that combines a unique blend of old and new elements instead of the typical Darkwave/Postpunk sound. There are echoes of old The Klinik and Die Form, but at the same time thoughts of current bands like Rue Oberkampf. The whole thing is mostly very danceable, but at the same time dark and thrives especially on the French-speaking female vocals, which give the songs a very unique touch. If you were to add Wave-guitars to the purely electronic sound for a few remixes, you would end up with Coldwave. |
