Limited edition of 2'000 copies, specially re-mastered ‘band-edition’ on PINK Vinyl, incl. 4 bonus tracks! 2'000 might sound ‘a lot’ to many of you, but beware: The 2 vinyl re-prints for ‘Voodoo-U’ last year sold through TWICE in a year! Why? Although founded in Belgium, LORDS OF ACID are a very American phenomenon, where they almost continously tour for years – and in constantly sold out halls all over the country! “Lust” was their debut album and spawned a series of worldwide club hits. As the album's title implies, the tracks touch upon various sexually-related topics, complimented by hardcore techno/new beat/rave electronica sound. The Sex-obsessed Belgian-American post-industrial/techno band founded in Antwerp in 1988 as “Major Problem” and was one of Maurice Engelen’ (Praga Khan)'s many New Beat/Hard Beat projects. Nikkie Van Lierop (Jade 4U) became part of the group with the first proper single "I sit on Acid" and took over vocal duties for the early singles and the "Lust" album. The band set-up has changed a dozen times since. A new LORDS OF ACID album has been announced for this fall. The singer of the 1st single ‘Karaoke Superstar’ (released 2 weeks ago) is nobody less than Princess Superstar, who has 2.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Mari Kattman will be singing (in German) on one of the next pre-album singles! |
